MNsure Announces that their Consumer Contact Center has Opened!
MNsure officially announced information regarding their call center today. This customer “Contact Center” will be open Monday thru Saturday during the open enrollment period, which lasts from October 1st 2013 to March 31st, 2014. The toll-free phone number is 1-855-3-MNSURE (1-855-366-7873) and the hours of operation are Monday thru Friday: 7:30am – 8:00pm and Saturday: 9:00am – 4:30pm (from October 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014). The amount of resources available to handle the many different languages Minnesotans speak is very impressive and this is where the true power of this Contact Center will lie! The Center will be able to handle English, Spanish, Hmong and Somali languages right away; those speaking a language other than these will be connected with an interpreter service that will offer an additional 140 languages!
“With the opening of the MNsure Contact Center, we make it easy for Minnesotans to get help from trained service representatives, to learn more about the choices they have for quality health insurance, and to choose the plan that is right for themselves and their families,” said April Todd-Malmlov, MNsure’s Executive Director.
There will be additional in-person, online and phone support options offered through Navigators and In-Person Assisters, two roles that will be performed by many organizations throughout Minnesota (Full Disclosure: we have applied for both roles and will announce the outcome of our application when we have received word from MNsure). We here at MNSure Thing envision offering Minnesotans unique ways to connect with us via phone and internet and again, we will make an announcement regarding this at the appropriate time. The main thing is that it’s important to know that there will be other support options that will likely be more advanced and individualized and these services will be performed by outside organizations with an official connection with MNsure.
